How should I prepare for my appointment?
- Stop using retinoids for 2 weeks pre-treatment
- Avoid other laser treatments or chemical peels for 2 weeks pre-treatment
- Avoid Botox or filler injections for 2 weeks pre-treatment
What can I expect afterwards?
You can expect some redness and sunburn-like sensation immediately post-treatment, as well as rough skin texture and possibility of peeling for 4-7 days.
Aftercare:
- Apply a broad-spectrum, high SPF sunscreen daily, and wear protective clothing (such as a wide-brimmed hat) if you go outside.
- Use a gentle, non-occlusive moisturizer without strong active ingredients
- Avoid exfoliating, retinoids, lasers, peels, microneedling, Botox, filler, or other cosmetic procedures for 2 weeks
When will I see results, and how long will they last?
A few days after the treatment, your skin will start to feel softer, look brighter, and show more even tone. Results are progressive and become more noticeable with each successive treatment. Results have been shown to be maintained as long as 3 months, but may vary depending on your age, skin condition, and skincare/protection regimen. We recommend getting treated every 4-6 weeks to maintain the best results.
