How should I prepare for my appointment?
- Stop using retinoids, AHA, and BHA for 2 weeks pre-treatment
- Try to avoid exfoliants for 1 week pre-treatment
- We recommend avoiding extended sun exposure 10 days prior to treatment (skin that is sunburned, actively peeling, inflamed, or areas of active acne/unhealed skin cannot be treated).
What can I expect afterwards?
PCA Sensi Peel: Microscopic peeling with little to no downtime
PCA Advanced Peel (with retinol): Mild redness, mild itching, and light flaking in localized areas for 2-3 days post-treatment
PCA Acne Peel: Light peeling or flaking in localized areas for 2-3 days post-treatment
VI Peels: Anything from light redness and flaking to sheet peeling for a few days.
Aftercare:
- Try to avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours
- Aim to apply sunscreen daily
- Try to use a gentle face wash and moisturizer for 1 week post-treatment
- Avoid retinoids, AHA, and BHA for 2 weeks post-treatment
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
Peel results are visible within 7-10 days post-treatment, and are best maintained with regular treatments. We recommend getting treated every 4-6 weeks as part of your regular routine.
What areas can I treat?
Areas eligible for treatment include the face, neck, and décolleté. Your provider can recommend the appropriate treatment areas for you in-store during your complimentary consultation.
