FAQ
How should I prepare for my appointment?
- Try to avoid alcohol and blood thinners, including but not limited to Aspirin, Vitamin E and fish oil the day before treatment (Tylenol is okay)
- We recommend avoiding extended sun exposure 10 days prior to treatment (skin that is sunburned, actively peeling, inflamed, or areas of active acne/unhealed skin cannot be treated)
- Hydrate very well the day before and the day of treatment. Ideally on the day of your treatment, you should drink at least 16z of water before your appointment
- Face/neck/décolleté: Come in with a makeup-free, clean face
- Scalp: Come in with clean, dry hair
What can I expect afterwards?
- Try to avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours
- Aim to avoid sun exposure and apply sunscreen daily
- Try to avoid the use of NSAIDS (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, Naproxen, Aspirin, etc) for 3-7 days post-treatment. (Tylenol is ok)
- Stay hydrated with at least 64oz of water daily
Face/neck/décolleté
- Try to avoid Retinoids and Retinol, and use a gentle face wash and moisturizer for 1 week post-treatment
- You can expect to see redness or peeling that gradually fades over the first few days post-treatment
- Mild inflammation is to be expected, and is in fact the rejuvenation process in action
Scalp
- Try to avoid wetting your hair for at least 3 hours post-treatment
- Try to avoid hair products for at least 6 hours post-treatment
- Try to avoid saunas, steam rooms, and swimming for 2 days post-treatment
- Try to avoid hair-regrowth medications (such as Rogaine®), hair color, or chemical hair treatments (such as perms or relaxers) for 3 days
When will I see results, and how long will they last?
Clients report a week of cell turnover, with visible results and radiance 7-10 days post treatment. We recommend getting treated every 4-6 weeks as part of your regular routine to maintain the best results.
