Treatment Areas

Filler can add volume and projection to lips, contour cheeks, define the chin and jawline. It can also replenish lost volume to the tear troughs, temples and nasolabial folds. Skinvive provides overall hydration and glow, without adding volume or changing the shape of your face. While carefully considering dosing amounts, your provider will determine the best product and placement that’s right for you.

You will see immediate results, however it takes 2-3 weeks for filler to fully integrate.

Lips/Tear Troughs/Smile Lines: Most fillers for these areas are FDA approved to last up to 12 months but we suggest refreshing your filler every 4-6 months or whenever you feel like you need a little boost.

Cheeks/Jawline/Chin: Although it can vary from person to person, most fillers used to treat these areas are FDA approved to last up to 1-2 years.

All over: More of an HA skincare treatment, Skinvive gives you an instant, lasting glow, and restores hydration with results lasting up to six months.

The Basics of Dermal Fillers
  • Fillers can be used for a variety of reasons including lifting, smoothing or enhancement of facial features.
  • Different types of lip filler can be used to achieve your personal desired result. Some define and hydrate where others can add shape and volume.
  • The chin is a crucial aspect of the balance and aesthetic of your face. Fillers can help contour, define, and shape the chin.
  • Contouring your jawline with filler can give you a sculpted, defined look.
  • It’s important to address the full face, and not one specific area. Facial balancing is the best way to achieve a natural look.

The Science Behind It

Our dermal fillers are made with skin’s best friend: hyaluronic acid (HA). Our bodies naturally produce nourishing forms of HAs to keep our skin moisturized and soft, but as we age, our HAs and our reservoir of hydration diminish. This can lead to sagging and a loss of elasticity. Dermal fillers can replenish HAs by filling lines and restoring volume for a smooth and contoured result.

What are dermal fillers and how do they work?

Dermal fillers are made from a synthesized form of hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally produced by our bodies. When injected, HA plumps the skin to fill lines and restore volume for a smooth and contoured result.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

  • Avoid alcohol and blood thinners, including but not limited to Aspirin, Vitamin E, and fish oil the day before treatment
  • Aim to take Arnica 2-3 days prior to treatment or day of treatment to help minimize possible bruising or swelling
  • Stay hydrated

What can I expect afterwards?

With any injectable treatment, there is always the possibility of some minor injection site reactions. These could include bruising, swelling, tenderness, or itching, which are all normal and temporary. As far as downtime, there really isn’t any!  You can go about your day as usual post-treatment.

  • Avoid massaging or manipulating the treated area and try not to sleep on your stomach or side (or in a position that would put pressure on the treated area) for 24 hours
  • Avoid exercise for 24 hours
  • Avoid facials for 72 hours
  • Avoid lasers, skin tightening treatments, microneedling, and chemical peels for 2 weeks

What areas can I treat?

  • Lips (smooth, plump and balance)
  • Cheeks (contour)
  • Tear troughs (smooth)
  • Jawline (contour and define)
  • Chin (contour and define)
  • Nasolabial (marionette) folds (smooth)
