How It Works
FAQ
How should I prepare for my appointment?
- Try to avoid alcohol and blood thinners, including but not limited to Aspirin, Vitamin E and fish oil the day before treatment
- Aim to take arnica 2-3 days prior to treatment or day of treatment to help minimize possible bruising or swelling
- Avoid using retinoids for 1 week before treatment.
What can I expect afterwards?
With any injectable treatment, there is always the possibility of some minor injection site reactions. These could include bruising, swelling, tenderness, or itching, which are all normal and temporary. As far as downtime, there really isn’t any!
Aftercare:
- Try to avoid massaging or manipulating the treated area and try not to sleep on your stomach or side (or in a position that would put pressure on the treated area) for 24 hours
- Try to avoid exercise for 24 hours
- Try to avoid facials for 72 hours
- Try to avoid lasers, skin tightening treatments, microneedling, and chemical peels for 2 weeks
- Aim to apply sunscreen daily.
When will I see results, and how long do they last?
You’ll start to see results almost immediately, and can expect to see the full effects in 2 weeks. Results can last up to 6 months with optional touch-ups for extended benefits as needed.
What areas can I treat?
